Fee schedule

A signed retainer agreement and a non-refundable retainer in the amount of $2,500 for civil matters, and $5,000 for criminal matters, is required before work will commence. 

Invoices reflecting work performed will be emailed monthly, with payment required within 10 business days. Past due payments will incur a 5% monthly fee on the entire remaining balance. The Retaining Attorney is responsible for payment to Weed Reconstruction and Expert Consulting. If the outstanding amount owed exceeds $2,000, WREC may cease all work on the Matter until all invoices are paid in full. 

Rush, night, weekend, and holiday rates are applicable, in WREC’s sole discretion, when Retaining Attorney requests completion of work within 30 days, or where work must be completed during the hours of 5:00 pm – 8:00 am, on Saturdays, Sundays, or on Federal Holidays. Expedited Services rates are applicable, in WREC's sole discretion, when Retaining Attorney requests completion of work within 10 days.

If WREC is asked, required, or ordered to appear for a trial, pretrial hearing, mediation, or arbitration related to the Matter or any related matter, a non-refundable appearance fee of $3,000 per day shall be due from Retaining Attorney no less than 5 business days in advance of the scheduled trial, pretrial hearing, mediation, or arbitration. 

If a trial, pretrial hearing, mediation, or arbitration date is cancelled or rescheduled, regardless of the cause or reason, with less than 48 hours' notice, such appearance fee shall be entirely forfeited at WREC's sole discretion. An additional appearance fee of $3,000 per day shall be due in advance of any subsequently scheduled trial, pretrial hearing, mediation, or arbitration date.

Depositions, trials, pretrial hearings, mediation, and arbitration require significant preparation on the part of WREC, for which Retaining Attorney shall compensate WREC at the rates specified above. 

Fees associated with preparation are due in full no later than 24 hours in advance of any deposition, trials, pretrial hearings, mediation, or arbitration. WREC may, in its sole discretion, estimate the amount of preparation necessary for a given event and require an advance deposit.
