Weed Reconstruction and Expert Consulting was founded in 2012 by Shelly Weed. Shelly left law enforcement after nearly 14 years. She has more than 18 years of crash investigation experience and has investigated almost 6,000 crashes, with more than 500 involving serious injury or fatality. She was the Primary Hit and Run investigator with Sandy Springs Police Department for seven years, handling more than 400 cases annually.
Shelly has successfully completed more than 1300+ hours of advanced crash reconstruction training and is fully accredited as a Traffic Accident Reconstructionist by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR). She is one of 34 people in the state of Georgia who hold this certification and has been qualified by Courts across Georgia.
Amber Bishop joined WREC in 2018. Amber is a former litigator, WREC's General Counsel, and a Senior Reconstructionist.
In 2005 Amber received a degree in Physics, after being inducted into the Physics Honor Society. While working full time as a scientist at the CDC, she earned her Masters from Emory University. Amber went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Georgia State University College of Law. Joining WREC has allowed Amber to combine her loves of physics and the law.
She has completed more than 700 hours of crash reconstruction training and has investigated hundreds of collisions. Amber is fully accredited as a Traffic Accident Reconstructionist by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR) and has been qualified by Courts across Georgia.
Stacy McMichael joined WREC full time in 2019. He was a firefighter with Coweta County Fire Department while serving as a part time associate reconstructionist with WREC starting in 2015. As a firefighter, Stacy obtained various certifications including Firefighter II, HazMat Operations, EMS First Responder, firefighting operations, and even vehicle extrication. He later earned his Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) license. Throughout his 13 years as a firefighter, Stacy responded to hundreds of crashes, including those involving commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles, pedestrians, and motorcycles.
Since joining WREC, Stacy has investigated hundreds of crashes. He has completed extensive crash reconstruction training including At-Scene Traffic Crash/Traffic Homicide Investigation, Commercial Motor Vehicle Accident Investigation, Advanced Traffic Crash Investigation, BOSCH technician and Heavy Vehicle EDR courses. In addition to his crash reconstruction training, he holds a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Certification as a Remote Pilot for Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).
WREC fosters a collaborative multi-disciplinary mindset. This means that no matter which expert spearheads your matter, the expertise of the whole team weighs in on your case.
Tori joined WREC in 2020 as the firm's Director of Marketing and Office Manager. Prior to WREC, she spent 14 years as a Sales & Marketing Hotelier with Marriott.
Tori graduated with Cum laude honors from the University of Georgia in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Since becoming part of the WREC team, she has been able to utilize her skills in customer service and marketing to provide the detailed, quality responsiveness that WREC has become known for. In her spare time, Tori loves to spend time with her husband and two children, reading, and attending Pure Barre classes.
