Weed Reconstruction and Expert Consulting was founded in 2012 by Shelly Weed. Shelly left law enforcement after nearly 14 years. She has more than 20 years of crash investigation experience and has investigated over 6,000+ crashes. She was the Primary Hit and Run investigator with Sandy Springs Police Department for seven years, handling more than 400 cases annually.
Shelly has successfully completed more than 1700+ hours of advanced crash reconstruction training and is fully accredited as a Traffic Accident Reconstructionist by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR). She is one of 34 people in the state of Georgia who hold this certification and has been qualified as an expert in Courts across Georgia in both crash reconstruction and human factors in crash reconstruction.
Outside of work, you can find Shelly lifting heavy in the gym, fostering puppies, and taking power naps!
Amber Bishop joined WREC in 2018. Amber is a former litigator, WREC's General Counsel, and a Senior Reconstructionist.
In 2005 Amber received a degree in Physics, after being inducted into the Physics Honor Society. While working full time as a scientist at the CDC, she earned her Masters from Emory University. Amber went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Georgia State University College of Law. Joining WREC has allowed Amber to combine her loves of physics and the law.
She has completed more than 850 hours of crash reconstruction training and has investigated hundreds of collisions. Amber is ACTAR accredited and has been qualified by Courts across Georgia.
When Amber isn't working you can find her hiking with her three dogs, reading a good book, or training for her next endurance adventure.
Stacy McMichael joined WREC as an associate crash reconstructionist in 2014. Stacy served as a firefighter with Coweta County Fire Department for 13 years. During that time, Stacy responded to hundreds of crashes, including those involving commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles, pedestrians, and motorcycles.
Since joining WREC, Stacy has investigated hundreds of crashes and completed extensive crash reconstruction training.
Outside of work you can find Stacy spending quality time with his three daughters, working on projects around the house, and playing in a cornhole league.
Josh joined WREC in 2023, as an Associate Crash Reconstructionist. Prior to WREC, Josh spent 4 years as a Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician, followed by almost 2 years in logistics. He brings a strong knowledge of the Heavy-Duty Commercial Vehicle industry.
Josh is a huge baseball enthusiast, with 17 years playing experience, including at the college level. In his downtime, he enjoys spending time with his fiancé and two dogs, playing golf, and following the Atlanta Braves’ and Georgia Bulldogs’ seasons.
Meghan joined WREC in 2023 as WREC's executive assistant and Shelly Weed's case manager. She is a graduate from Kennesaw State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Biology. Her attention to detail and analytical thinking ensure the highest degree of client service.
Outside of work you can find Meghan playing pickleball, attending concerts, and spending time with her friends.
Mackenzie joined WREC in early 2025 as Office Manager, bringing a strong background in organization, client relations, and case management. She is a graduate of Kennesaw State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Criminology.
In her free time, she enjoys white water rafting, tending to her hydroponic garden, and can almost always be found with her nose in a good book.
